Shibuya Bon Odori, a summer tradition that brings the city of Shibuya and its visitors together, will be held on August 3, 2024 at the SHIBUYA109 event space, Dogenzaka, and Bunkamura-dori.

The Bon Odori festival, which has the theme of "creating a place for interaction between the people of Shibuya and those visiting Shibuya," began in 2017 and this year marks its fifth anniversary.

Traffic is restricted from SHIBUYA109 to Dogenzaka and Bunkamura-dori, and this large-scale Bon Odori event is held in front of Shibuya Station. From classic songs such as "Tokyo Ondo," "Dai Tokyo Ondo," "Kawachi Otoko Bushi," and "Tanko Bushi," to original songs such as "Shibuya Ondo," "Olympic Shibuya Ondo," and "Yumemiru Shibuya Ondo," people of all ages and genders, both from Japan and overseas, can all dance together in a circle around the tower and enjoy themselves. From local children and adults, to young people who come to shop, to foreign tourists, all kinds of people can join in, making this a Bon Odori that is unique to Shibuya, which advocates diversity.

In addition to food trucks and snack and beverage vendors, there are also festival stalls with shooting galleries and super ball scooping, so you can enjoy the summer festival atmosphere to the fullest. We recommend that you come with your family and friends wearing yukata.
