Guest: Kazuhiro Namai (Natural farming, Satoyama lifestyle researcher and practitioner, lecturer)

Kazuhiro Ikue is originally from Saitama Prefecture and has been living in Myoko City for 14 years now.
He left his job in 2006 to study at a vocational school in Myoko, and has been living in Myoko ever since. After graduating, he began renovating an old house and practicing natural farming, living in the satoyama area. He feels that the things that are important to human life, such as biodiversity, coexistence between humans and nature, health and happiness, etc., are perfectly reasonable in the satoyama way of life, and he would like to spread awareness of these things. Current activities: Satoyama and biodiversity conservation, producing and selling rice in rice paddies for disaster prevention, manufacturing and selling processed products (mochi rice cakes and sweet sake), running a natural farming owner system called "Would you like to try rice paddies?", and lecturing on the natural environment, biodiversity, and satoyama.
