An exhibition titled "P-kies for Everyone," which reconstructs the world of Ponkikies from a contemporary art perspective, will open on April 17th at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO. The exhibition is organized by PARCO.
This exhibition is an attempt to "understand, deconstruct, and reconstruct" the influence that the program, which began airing in 1973 and has been loved for approximately 45 years, has had on Japanese culture through its characters, visuals, music, and artistic expression, from a contemporary perspective. It will explore the charm of beloved characters that have been enjoyed across generations, such as the baby dinosaur "Gachapin," the baby yeti "Mukku," as well as "Connie-chan" and "P-chan," from multiple angles.

The venue will feature valuable materials and archives from the time of the program's production, as well as new collaborative works by domestic and international artists. Participating artists include Kintaro Takahashi, Shotaro Kitada, Sean Wotherspoon, Chocomoo, Donchi, minomi, Natsu Yamaguchi, Niina Ai, Seiji Matsumoto, and yooolk, each reinterpreting the characters from their own perspective. The key visual is by Tetsuya Nagato, and the art direction is by yooolk.
