The "LOVE FOR NOTO Song of the Earth Tokyo Event," a recovery support event for the Noto Peninsula earthquake, will be held on June 27th and 28th at Yoyogi Park Event Plaza. The event is organized by LOVE FOR NIPPON (LFN), a general incorporated association that conducts ongoing support activities in Noto.

This event is being held by LFN, which has been providing support since immediately after the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2024, with the aim of conveying the current situation in the affected areas and expanding the circle of support for reconstruction. It bears the name of "SONG OF THE EARTH," a reconstruction support event held annually in Fukushima on March 11th, and this will be the third time it is held in Tokyo.

The venue will feature a music stage with performances by artists involved in disaster relief efforts. The lineup includes a unit formed by singer-songwriter Eito and EKACHOKI, as well as HANAH SPRING, Asuka Aotani, Kenichiro Tanimoto (Taniken Band), and Tomotake Yamaoka, all conveying their hopes for recovery through music.

Furthermore, a talk session will be held featuring LFN representative CANDLE JUNE and a support group from Noto. They will discuss the current situation in the disaster-stricken areas, the challenges of support activities, and ways in which people from the Tokyo metropolitan area can participate in providing support.

In addition to live performances and talks, "NOTO SHOP" will be set up to showcase the charms of Noto. They will sell local specialties such as rice crackers and craft gin from Oku-Noto, supporting the disaster-stricken area through shopping. There will also be food and drink booths offering Noto ingredients and food from various regions, a market selling fashion and miscellaneous goods, and workshops.

The activities will include "FC21," a basketball competition where everyone competes as a rival; "SpoGOMI," a sport-like way to enjoy picking up trash; and disc golf, which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. There will be plenty of activities for families to enjoy.

After sunset, a candlelit night will be held to illuminate the venue. Visitors will light candle cups on which they have written messages for Noto, sharing their hopes for its recovery. Proceeds from the sale of the cups will be used to support Noto's recovery efforts.

LFN is a support organization that was established in the wake of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, they went to the affected area the day after the disaster and have continued to provide food, supplies, and support events at temporary housing.
