Shibuya's MIYASHITA PARK becomes a "holy ground for soccer fans," with numerous events taking place to coincide with the start of the World Cup.

A life-size figure of manager Moriyasu is also included.

A large-scale soccer support event will begin on June 11th at the Shibuya complex "MIYASHITA PARK" to coincide with the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Mitsui Fudosan, the Japan Football Association (JFA), and Adidas Japan will each be holding related events, transforming the entire facility into a soccer-themed wonderland.

The entire facility is transformed into "Miya Stadium," and a figure of manager Moriyasu is also on display.

Mitsui Fudosan will host "MIYASHITA STADIUM presented by Mitsui Fudosan (Miyasta)" from June 11th to 28th. The exterior and interior decorations of the facility will be changed to match the theme of the Japanese national soccer team, creating a space that resembles a soccer stadium throughout MIYASHITA PARK.

Adidas flagship store "Adidas Brand Flagship Store MIYASHITA PARK" is being decorated for the World Cup.

During the event, the facility will be branded "Miyasta" and will feature exterior wrapping and other spatial design elements that make the entire facility resemble a soccer stadium.

During the event, a photo spot will be set up featuring a life-size figure of Japan national team manager Hajime Moriyasu. The figure will recreate the "Moriyasu Memo," a record of him taking notes during matches, allowing visitors to take commemorative photos alongside the manager.

On June 21st, a public viewing of the Japan vs. Tunisia match will be held on the rooftop lawn. The match will be shown on a large screen, and former Japan national team player Junichi Inamoto and other guests will be in attendance. The match against Tunisia kicks off at 1pm on Sunday, a convenient time for viewing on a weekend afternoon, and many supporters are expected to gather at sports bars and public viewing venues in Shibuya. With expectations high for the Japan national team's success, all eyes are on whether Shibuya will once again be enveloped in a sea of blue excitement. Participation at MIYASHITA PARK is free, but advance registration is required.

We will develop next-generation fan engagement experiences that combine AR, MR, and XR technologies.

Additionally, the multi-purpose entertainment facility "or" on the first floor of the North building will host the immersive cheering event "SAMURAI BLUE 3D EXPERIENCE" from May 29th to July 20th. The 3D content projected onto a giant LED screen will allow viewers to experience the world of the Japanese national team through three-dimensional images and spatial effects that make it seem as if the SAMURAI BLUE players and coach are appearing right in front of them. VIP tickets are 8,000 yen on weekdays and 10,000 yen on weekends and holidays. General admission is 3,900 yen on weekdays and 4,500 yen on weekends and holidays.

The "SAMURAI BLUE Festival" will create a supportive atmosphere.

The Japan Football Association (JFA) will simultaneously hold the "SAMURAI BLUE Festival" at the rooftop lawn area of MIYASHITA PARK.

The venue will feature displays of lanterns made by fans and sponsoring companies, as well as interactive booths inspired by summer festivals and fairs. There will also be exhibits and novelty giveaways from partner companies, and a photo spot featuring "JI BLUE," the official ambassadors for the Japanese national soccer team.

From June 11th (Thursday), the cheering lanterns will be displayed, and the area will be bathed in the team color of SAMURAI BLUE, blue. There will also be blue illumination at night.

In addition to the sale of "Aomeshi," a food item entirely in blue to support the team, there will also be booths from the JFA and partner companies.

The food truck will be selling original menu items themed around "blue," the team color of the Japanese national team. The "JFA POP UP STORE" will also be set up in the atrium on the second floor south side, selling Japanese national team merchandise and other items.

This event aims to create a new wave of excitement in Shibuya, serving not only as a football viewing experience but also as a "football-themed summer festival" that families and tourists can enjoy.

Adidas to hold 3v3 tournament on specially constructed pitch

Adidas Japan will be hosting a limited-time football park, "adidas PLAY FREE PARK," at the multi-purpose sports facility on the 4th floor of Miyashita Park.

A specially constructed pitch will host a 3-on-3 tournament open to the public, "3VS3 FOOTBALL." Participants will compete in fierce matches for the chance to challenge a special team comprised of active J.League players.

During the event, various events will be held at the temporary football park "adidas PLAY FREE PARK" set up in Sandcord.

On June 14th, a special event called "PLAY FREE SHOW" will be held, which will combine sports, music, and street culture. In addition, an interactive content area called "FOOTBALL ARCADE," equipped with an original photo booth called "adiFOTO," will be permanently installed.

The event will also feature live performances by popular artists, showcasing Shibuya's unique culture, encompassing music, fashion, and more, all centered around soccer.

Additionally, a limited-time "adidas FIFA World Cup Store “PLAY FREE STORE”" will open on the first floor in "Park in Park." It will sell uniforms and related goods of the Japanese national team and other national teams, and will also feature displays of past official match balls and talk events.

The Adidas flagship store, "Adidas Brand Flagship Store MIYASHITA PARK," which was renovated in April, will feature a wide range of uniforms and fan wear for the Japan national football team and other national teams in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

A series of events coinciding with the start of the World Cup will transform MIYASHITA PARK into a major hub where people can enjoy football culture through watching matches, experiencing events, shopping, and dining. It is expected to become a new "holy site" for domestic and international supporters and tourists visiting Shibuya to cheer on the Japanese national team, and to drive the excitement throughout the tournament.
