The "Newton Festival," an event showcasing cutting-edge science and technology centered around the science magazine "Newton," will be held on September 25th and 26th at Hikarie Hall on the 9th floor of Shibuya Hikarie.

This event is organized by Newton Press and 4X (Chuo Ward), a company in the Asahi Shimbun Group. Researchers, companies, and creators involved in science from a wide range of scientific and technological fields, including semiconductors, AI, robotics, space, new materials, and energy, will gather to provide an opportunity to experience the latest research and technologies through lectures and exhibitions.

The event will feature special lectures and talk sessions by researchers and prominent figures in the scientific field. Speakers will include researchers such as astronaut Soichi Noguchi, physicist and University of California, Berkeley professor Yasunori Nomura, University of Tokyo professor Hiroki Oki, and Tokyo University of Science professor Takahiro Yamamoto, as well as Yobinori Takumi from the YouTube channel "Learning University Mathematics and Physics in a Cram School Style," science YouTuber Genki Ichioka, and manufacturing YouTuber Monozukuri Taro.

Editors such as Ryu Itakura, editor-in-chief of "Newton," and Shinya Nakamura, director and head of book editing at Newton Press, will also be taking the stage.

Companies and organizations such as Tokyo Electron, Shimadzu Corporation, NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd., ZACROS, and Taiyo Holdings Co., Ltd. will have booths at the venue. Through panels, displays of actual equipment, and demonstrations, each company will introduce the cutting-edge technologies it is working on.

The event will include business briefings and lectures by companies and research institutions, introducing not only the content of their research and technology but also their job descriptions and working styles. It is intended to serve as a platform for students interested in science to consider their career paths and as a place for working professionals to network.

Attendees will receive an original "Newton Fest" booklet containing information on the technology themes covered at the event and exclusive interviews, and company booths will also offer event-exclusive merchandise.

The event will be held from 13:00 to 20:00 on the 25th and from 10:00 to 19:00 on the 26th. Participation is free.
