The "China Festival 2026" will be held on September 5th and 6th at the Yoyogi Park Event Plaza.
This event aims to promote exchange between Japan and China by showcasing Chinese food, music, tourism, and traditional culture. The venue is expected to feature approximately 100 booths, including food and beverage vendors, merchandise retailers, businesses and organizations, and cultural experiences, with an estimated 100,000 visitors over the two days.
The food and drink area will feature booths offering dishes from various regions of China. In addition to dishes such as mapo tofu, xiaolongbao, dumplings, and hot pot, there are also plans to feature a menu centered around "mala tang," a dish that has become increasingly popular in recent years.

The stage will feature a wide range of programs including traditional instrument performances, singing, dancing, and C-POP. The venue will also have booths where visitors can experience Chinese culture, such as Chinese tea, Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing), calligraphy, and crafts.
This year, we will also be focusing on projects centered around "pandas." In addition to setting up panda-themed photo spots, we will be introducing panda information related to the Ueno Information Center and Adventure World. Related projects by panda photographer Takahiro Takauji and Hakusuisha are also planned.
The China Tourism Office in Tokyo will also provide tourism information, introducing travel information for various parts of China, including Shanghai Disneyland.
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on both days. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 AM on the 5th. Admission is free.
