"Station Concert in Shibuya" to be held at Shibuya Station for two days filled with music

Shibuya music festival

The "Station Concert in Shibuya" will be held at Tokyo Metro Co.,Ltd. / TOKYU CORPORATION Shibuya Station for two days on October 18th (Sat) and 19th (Sun).

The event is organized by the Metro Cultural Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation, with the support of Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. and TOKYU CORPORATION Corporation. The concert is part of the Shibuya Music Festival, an annual autumn event, and is an event where people can casually enjoy a variety of music in the everyday space of a subway station.

On Saturday the 18th, the woodwind quintet "London Point" will perform, featuring flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon. They will perform graceful and familiar pieces such as J. Strauss's "Tritch-Tratsch Polka" and Joe Hisaishi's "Merry-go-round of life."

On Sunday the 19th, the saxophone quintet "Five by Five" will perform a wide range of songs from jazz to pop, including Bill Evans' "Waltz for Debby" and Shiina Ringo's "Marunouchi Sadistic."

The event will be held from 2pm to 4pm each day near Exit B1 of the station (doors open approximately 20 minutes before). Admission may be restricted depending on the level of congestion.

These two days are perfect for the autumn season of music. We hope you enjoy the rich musical experience that only a station can offer, even on your everyday route. Admission is free.
