I want to eat, listen to music, and dance.
2026-02-25
Salsa Street 2026 Viva la Primavera, an outdoor festival where you can experience Latin American culture, will be held on March 14th and 15th at the Zelkova Avenue in Yoyogi Park.
The event, which began in 2015, has become established as a festival where people can experience and share Caribbean and Latin American culture. The event's name, "Salsa," is a powerful word with multiple meanings, including the food sauce, music, and dance. Based around the three salsa elements of "wanting to eat," "wanting to listen to music," and "wanting to dance," the event aims to be a place where people of all nationalities, races, and generations can come together.

The venue will be lined with gourmet food and miscellaneous goods from Latin America. Visitors will be greeted by authentic flavors and colorful folk crafts, including "Paella Grandpa," a paella specialty restaurant run by a Spanish chef, "Teresa Kitchen," which serves Peruvian cuisine like lomo saltado, and "Caracol," which sells Mexican goods.

With the motto "Viva la Primavera" (Hurrah for Spring) celebrating the arrival of spring, this two-day event will give you the feeling of traveling abroad. Why not experience cultural differences through taste, smell, sight, and hearing?
