Shibuya Sakura Stage to open, pre-event for Shibuya's new culture hub "404 Not Found"

On June 29th, just one month before the full-scale opening of Shibuya's new landmark, Shibuya Sakura Stage, a pre-event themed around connections between people, "MABLs Presents 404 Sakura Connect Fes," will be held.

The exterior of Shibuya Sakura Stage

Based on the concept of "A fun town to explore and walk around," the facility aims to be a new, next-generation landmark for Shibuya, with a variety of facilities rooted in people's lives, learning, and play. Aiming to become a creative space where people visiting for various purposes can connect with each other and generate new relationships and ideas, the event will be planned, managed, and hosted by "404 Not Found," a creator support facility to be built on the 4th floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage. Creators, artists, companies, and organizations will set up their own booths, sell their own works, food, and products, and hold talk sessions and social gatherings to communicate the concept of the space in advance, as well as promote interaction between visitors before the full opening.

What is 404 Not Found?

A creative hub for indie creators will open on the 4th floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage in July. It will hold events and workshops for creators active in fields such as games, art, music, and food, and provide a place to support their creative activities. It is expected to become the core floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage in the future, attracting a lot of attention.

In addition, the event will also serve as a promotion for Tokyu Real Estate's social media app "MABLs," and will utilise "MABLs" to host an event that will enable creators and visitors to connect with each other and create new value.

What is MABLs?

MABLs is a social networking app developed by Tokyu Land Corporation, which is involved in urban development in Shibuya, to make the lives of people working in Shibuya more enjoyable and fulfilling. The app aims to develop Shibuya into an even more attractive city by promoting connections that go beyond just "working" and stimulating interactions and community formation between Shibuya workers, rather than simply developing facilities and buildings.
