On July 8th, the large complex "SHIBUYA AXSH AXSH" will open in the east exit area of Shibuya Station, followed by "Shibuya Sakura Stage" in the Sakuragaoka area on the 26th. To commemorate the opening of these two new landmark facilities, a series of events will be held from July 8th in the new facilities and around Shibuya Station to promote the charms of Shibuya, with the theme "SHIBUYA Machibiraki 2024 - Let's imagine a new landscape."

2. [Art] OPEN ART -Shibuya Independent Exhibition-

The Independents Exhibition is an art exhibition that was first held in Paris, France in 1884, where all submitted works are displayed. The only condition for the open ART - Shibuya Independents Exhibition to be held this time is to paint a "T-shirt" that has colored Shibuya culture such as music and fashion on a canvas, and anyone can participate regardless of age or nationality. All submitted works will be displayed in various facilities in Shibuya, so it's fun to wander around the city of Shibuya looking for your own work.

Comments and impressions from the judges will be posted online at a later date.

Panel exhibits that explore the history of Shibuya

The SHIBUYA AXSH which also plays a role in facilitating smooth circulation in the Shibuya Station East Exit area surrounded by major roads, will be presented with panels tracing the changes that have taken place since the Edo period using maps to show the progress of the redevelopment from before its development to the present.
