The interactive live entertainment event "DINO SAFARI 2026" will be held from April 24th to May 6th at Hikarie Hall on the 9th floor Shibuya Hikarie.

This popular event features dinosaurs that move as if they were alive, roaming the venue and allowing the audience to experience an immersive "dinosaur world." A total of 34 performances are scheduled during Golden Week.

One of the highlights of this event is the first appearance of a baby Parasaurolophus (approximately 6 meters long) with a long crest. This will be its first appearance in the DINO-A-LIVE series, and its distinctive silhouette as it runs around the venue is sure to attract attention. In addition, a new Tyrannosaurus Rex (8 meters long) and a Fukuisaurus (5.5 meters long), a herbivorous dinosaur discovered in Japan, will also make their first appearances. Many other popular dinosaurs will also appear, including Stegosaurus (7 meters long), Allosaurus (6.4 meters long), Ankylosaurus (7.6 meters long), and Utahraptor (4.8 meters long).

The dinosaurs featured are dinosaur-shaped mechanical suits called "DINO-TECHNE," developed by ON-ART Inc. This technology, which took over 18 years to develop, reproduces the dinosaurs' ecology and movements based on research findings and has obtained patents both domestically and internationally.

Furthermore, paleontologist Yoshitsugu Kobayashi, also known as "Dinosaur Kobayashi," a professor at the Hokkaido University Museum, will serve as the dedicated dinosaur supporter. Kobayashi commented, "Dinosaurs are fascinating even just to see in books or videos, but the feeling of awe you get when you see them moving right in front of you and experience their power is exceptional," and he is encouraging visitors to have a realistic dinosaur experience.

Ticket purchasers will receive a "dinosaur card" supervised by the artist, and a limited-edition "dinosaur notebook ticket" will also be available. The performance will be a complete changeover between shows, and the running time will be approximately 50-60 minutes.

Ticket prices are ¥5,700 for Shiba Arena (¥6,000 on weekends and holidays), ¥4,700 for Oka Arena (¥5,000 on weekends and holidays), and others. Group tickets with discounts are also available for purchases of two or more tickets. Admission is charged for ages 3 and up; children under 3 may sit on a parent's lap.
