The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), Asia's largest international short film festival recognized by the Academy Awards, is collaborating with Milbon Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Sakashita Hidenori), a manufacturer of hair care and cosmetics for beauty salons, to launch the short film distribution project "MILBON BEAUTY MOVIES."

"MILBON BEAUTY MOVIES" offers online streaming of carefully selected short films from around the world on various themes of "beauty."
The 7th "MILBON BEAUTY MOVIES" live screening and talk event will be held at Eurolive on Tuesday, October 22, 2024!
This time, model and talent Naomi Trauden will be our guest, and we will be holding a talk session related to the short films we have selected on the theme of "beauty and lifestyle" and "beauty" that will be screened at the event.

[Outline]
The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), Asia's largest international short film festival, recognized by the Academy Awards, will kick off its autumn international short film festival (co-hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government) with an online event on September 26th. On Thursday, October 17th, there will be a BRANDED SHORTS talk event exploring "the cutting edge of short dramas and advertising" at Akasaka Intercity Conference, Eurolive from Tuesday, October 22nd to Thursday, October 24th, Tokyo Photographic Art Museum from Friday, October 25th to Saturday, October 26th, and United Cinema Aquacity Odaiba on Sunday, October 27th. The festival will screen the winners of the SSFF & ASIA 2024 Grand Prix = George Lucas Award-winning "Sen" by director Morisaki Win, as well as other award-winning and selected nominated works from each category. In addition, in collaboration with the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF)'s newly established "Women's Empowerment Section," there will be a program by female directors from around the world, and a special screening of "Troubled by the Sound of the Wind," starring navigator Rinko Kikuchi. Other events to look out for include the world premiere of Kitamura Takumi's directorial debut "I Quit Conquering the World," a talk seminar featuring director and screenwriter Ueda Kazutoshi, who wrote the screenplay and lyrics for this year's Grand Prix-winning musical short film "Sen," and WOWOW producer Iba Yoshiaki, and a talk event by MILBON BEAUTY MOVIES featuring Trauden Naomi. In commemoration of the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan, there will also be a "Switzerland Special: Switzerland Looks at Japan," a Korean short program, and many other exciting events.
